Saw matinee of Aida on October 20th. Micaela Coriso was outstanding!!! Beautiful, beautiful voice, good actress. Wonderful sets, real horses (not elephants), all great except tenor O'Mara (think I got name right) who was a serious stiff and weak voice. But a wonderful performance over all.

It sounds as though you are not aware that Villazon has cancelled his September and October performances of this opera. He will be replaced by Roberto Alagna for the first two and by Joseph Kaiser (?) for the October performances. He is still scheduled to sing several performances in December, with Matthew Polenzani taking the last two of the year.
